Two Pieces of Stoneware, Stamped "WHITES UTICA," New York State origin, third quarter 19th century, a four-gallon ovoid churn with slip-trailed floral design and Albany-slip-glazed lid; paired with a one-gallon jar with stylized slip-trailed floral design, accented with spots. Churn with a few in-the-firing contact marks and iron pings, a 7 1/2" faint line to reverse, and some fry to cobalt. Lid with small edge chip. Jar with partially glazed-over loss to handle, crack in opposite handle, base chips, lines in underside, and a tiny rim nick.
