Three Lead-and-Manganese-Glazed Redware Jars, Including One Signed "A.C.," American, 19th century, a one-gallon ovoid jar with tooled shoulder and squared rim, incised "A.C." on underside, along with two small ovoid jars. A jar bearing the initials "A.C." has been attributed to Rockingham County, VA potter, Andrew Coffman, although the form of this example is not typical of his work. Taller jar with chipping to rim and a few base chips. One smaller jar with a hairline from rim and some rim wear. Another smaller jar in excellent condition with some chipping to base.
