Slip-Decorated Redware Plate, American, probably Pennsylvania, first half 19th century, with coggled edge, the interior decorated in yellow slip with three wavy lines intersected with a flag-shaped trails. Additional streaked accents to central slip lines, purposefully made while the slip was still wet. A nicely-decorated example, surviving in outstanding condition. Provenance: Ex-Clyde Youtz. Light wear to edge. Minimal surface wear to interior. Diameter 9 7/8".
