Three Bell Family Stoneware Jars, Strasburg, VA origin, circa 1870-1900, a one-gallon stoneware jar with cobalt swag and hanging floral motif, attributed to Solomon Bell; a half-gallon jar with cobalt swag decoration, attributed to S. Bell & Son; and a one-gallon bowl-shaped jar, stamped "SOLOMON BELL / Strasburg / Va.". Unsigned Solomon Bell jar in excellent condition with a faint, short Y-shaped line at base. Unsigned S. Bell & Son jar in excellent condition with a few minor rim chips. Signed Solomon Bell jar with large glued crack below maker's mark, including two reglued slivers at surface, as well as a minor in-the-firing rim chip.
