Two Early Stoneware Jars, Northeastern U.S. origin, first quarter 19th century, a half-gallon jar with incised wavy line decoration and Albany-slip-glazed surface; paired with a two-gallon jar with lug handles, and iron oxide dip to rim and base. Half-gallon jar with base chips, otherwise excellent condition. Two-gallon jar with scattered light exfoliation to one side, base chips, a chip and two nicks on interior of rim, a glued crack at one handle terminal, traces of glue at other handle terminals (apparently unrelated to any repair).
