Four-Gallon Stoneware Crock with Cobalt Floral Decoration, Stamped "WHITES UTICA. NY," circa 1885, cylindrical crock with tooled shoulder, semi-rounded rim, and applied lug handles, decorated with a slip-trailed flowering plant emanating from a stump. Good color and decoration. Restoration to rim and shoulder area on reverse. Restored top-to-bottom crack from rim on front, extending through left side of decoration. Minor rim chips and one shallow 3/4" rim chip. A few shallow base chips. Crack at base of one handle on reverse. Chips to one handle. Tiny nick to opposite handle.
