Two Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Churns, Northeastern U.S. origin, second half 19th century, a six-gallon ovoid churn with stylized floral decoration, stamped "HAXSTUN & CO. / FORT EDWARD, N.Y.," paired with a six-gallon ovoid churn with brushed flowering plant design, unmarked. Haxstun churn with several thin cracks on reverse and side ans typical wear to inner rim. Other churn with significant cracks on reverse, extending around to sides, underside, and partway onto front, as well as an additional very tight Y-shaped line on front.
