Two Pieces of J.M Pruden, Elizabethtown, NJ Stoneware, second or third quarter 19th century, a two-gallon stoneware advertising jug with stylized cobalt lyre or tulip, stamped "J.W. & H.E. RICHARDS / 362 & 364 BROAD-ST / NEWARK.N,J"; paired with a two-gallon squat-shaped jug with stylized cobalt lyre or tulip decoration, stamped "J.M. PRUDEN / ELIZ-TOWN, NJ". Newark jug with thin cracks on underside, long restored crack at base on jug's reverse and side, and an approximately 1" x 1" restored spot on reverse below handle, possibly a filled flake or hole. Pruden jug with minor nicks to spout, two small worn spots near base on front, a base chip, and some minor base nicks.
