Albany-Slip-Glazed Stoneware Stanhope, attributed to Wallace and Cornwall Kirkpatrick, Anna, IL, fourth quarter 19th century, miniature molded jug with hollow underside, the surface covered in an Albany slip glaze. Stanhope jugs typically allowed a microphotographic image to be seen through the spout of the jug, most commonly a copy of the Lord's Prayer. This example is inoperable, as it is missing its lense. Shallow chipping to base. Lense missing. H 1 1/4".
