Slip-Decorated Redware Bowl, Mid-Atlantic origin, early 19th century, tapered bowl with rounded rim, the interior covered in reddish-brown iron or manganese and decorated with a dark wavy manganese line around the rim. Interior and exterior surface covered in a lead glaze over a light clay ground. Numerous rim chips. Some tight, in-the-firing surface lines to exterior and one on underside, not visible on interior. A faint, approximately 1 1/2" line from rim. H 3 1/4" ; Diameter 10 1/2".
