Glazed Redware Jar, New England origin, first half 19th century, cylindrical jar with tooled foot and rim, the shoulder decorated with two lines of wavy incising, the surface covered in a heavy lead glaze over a colorful green and orange ground. Provenance: A fresh-to-the-market example, recently found in Texas. Approximately 5" horizontal Y-shaped line at base, continuing approximately 2" onto underside. Otherwise excellent condition. H 7 1/2".
