Three Pieces of Stoneware, Stamped "GOODWIN & WEBSTER," Hartford, CT origin, early 19th century, including a scarce ovoid bottle with Albany slip glaze; a one-gallon salt-glazed jar with cobalt highlights to maker's mark and handle terminals; and a three or four gallon ovoid jug with cobalt highlights to maker's mark and handle terminals. Bottle in excellent condition with a shallow flake to underside at edge, presumably in-the-firing. One-gallon jar with 4" hairline from rim on reverse, salt drip to reverse, glazed-over dent to handle, a base chip, in-the-firing rim chips, and a few post-firing rim chips. Jug with large glazed-over iron ping at base. Hairline at base on reverse, continuing onto underside, and two base chips.
