Fine Stoneware Jar with Profuse Freehand Cobalt Stripe Decoration, Stenciled "NEW GENEVA POTTERY," New Geneva, PA origin, circa 1875, approximately one to one-and-a-half-gallon ovoid jar with tooled shoulder and flattened rim, the front heavily-decorated with nine freehand wavy stripes, the base stenciled in large block letters "NEW GENEVA POTTERY". Excellent, essentially as-made condition with some light fry to right side of decoration and some brownish mottling to clay on left side. Jar is also slightly out-of-round.
