Scarce One-Gallon Stoneware Pitcher with Elaborate Cobalt Floral Decoration, New York State origin, circa 1875, ovoid pitcher with tooled midsection, tall collar, and semi-squared rim molding, the front decorated with a slip-trailed cobalt design of heavily-shaded leaves extending from a stem accented with curled and dotted trails. Some fry to cobalt. Spout chip. 2 1/2" surface line to right of spout.
