Two E.J. Miller, Alexandria, VA Stoneware Jars, Western PA origin, circa 1875, a one-gallon jar with stripe decoration, stenciled "E.J. MILLER & SON. / DEALERS IN / CHINA AND / GLASS WARE / ALEXANDRIA. VA."; a three-gallon crock with freehand stripes and stenciled flourishes, stenciled "E.J. MILLER & CO. / QUEENSWARE & C. / ALEXANDRIA, VA". Smaller jar with wear to cobalt and a 1 3/4" rim chip. Larger crock broken into two pieces with an additional crack extending to rim, including repaint to much of cobalt and two cracks on underside.
