Extremely Rare One-Gallon Stoneware Pitcher with Cobalt Floral Decoration, Stamped "R. BUTT / W. CITY, D.C.," circa 1835, ovoid pitcher with short narrow collar and pinched pouring spout, decorated completely around the body with three large tulips extending from heavily-leafed stems. Collar decorated with cobalt swags. Spout decorated on each side with cobalt dashes.
