One-Gallon Stoneware Pitcher with Cobalt Bird Decoration, New York State origin, third quarter 19th century, ovoid-bodied pitcher with tall collar and squared rim molding, the front decorated with a slip-trailed design of a spotted bird perched on a branch with scrolled ends. Slip-trailed "1" surrounded by dots below. 2 1/2" diagonal crack from rim. 1" in-the-firing separation to right side of lower handle terminal. Some small shallow chips to rim.
