Slip-Decorated Redware Plate with Tulip Design, Berks County, PA origin, 19th century, with coggled edge, the interior decorated in yellow slip with a large tulip head, each half composed of four trails. Remainder of plate decorated with unusual daubs of yellow slip. Provenance: A fresh-to-the-market example from an eighty-year private collection. Rim chips. Wear, knife marks, and some small flakes to interior. Diameter 10".
