Three Midwestern Ovoid Stoneware Jugs, mid 19th century, a two-gallon jug with cobalt-highlighted maker's mark, "P.H. SMITH," Summit County, Ohio origin; a three-gallon jug with cobalt tulip decoration; and a two-gallon jug with cobalt foliate decoration. Smith jug with hairline in spout and a 1 5/8" hairline from spout on reverse, a hairline in base of handle, and a few minor base chips, two of which are glazed over. Three-gallon jug with staining and a large chip on underside at edge, with a long horizontal line extending off of it at base on reverse. Two-gallon jug with exfoliation to side of jug and underside/ sides of handle, as well as a hairline at base and minor wear on interior of spout.
