Two Pieces of Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware, second quarter 19th century, a one-gallon ovoid jar with brushed tulip decoration, New York State or possibly Ohio origin; paired with a half-gallon ovoid jug with cobalt accent to shoulder, Northeastern U.S. origin. Jar with flaking to base, a chip to one handle, several nicks to opposite handle, a shallow rim chip, and two hairlines from rim, measuring 2 3/4" and 2". Jug with hairline in base of handle and contact mark on left side of jug's front.
