Two Pieces of Early Northeastern U.S. Stoneware, first quarter 19th century, a two-gallon ovoid jug with heavily-tooled neck and cobalt highlighted to maker's mark and handle terminals, impressed "GOODWIN & WEBSTER," Hartford, CT origin; paired with a two-gallon ovoid jar with applied lug handles, decorated with cobalt daubs. Goodwin & Webster jug with large spider crack on reverse, base chips (one of which is glazed over), a minor spout chip, and some staining. Jar with base chips and a large 5" reglued piece on body with a 5" hairline descending from it.
