Two-Gallon Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Churn, Stamped "GOODWIN & WEBSTER / HARTFORD," Connecticut origin, early 19th century, slender, tapered churn heavily-tooled shoulder, tall collar, and applied lug handles, decorated with brushed cobalt highlights across the maker's mark. Includes old wooden lid and dasher. 7 1/2" crack from rim on front. Two small, in-the-firing chips / contact marks to one handle. Base chips, the largest being partially glazed-over. Chip to exterior of rim. Tiny chips and wear to inner rim that holds the lid. Long vertical separation on interior, not visible on exterior.
