Half-Gallon Stoneware Jar with Cobalt Foliate Decoration, Baltimore, MD origin, circa 1825, cylindrical jar with tooled shoulder and rounded rim, decorated completely around with a brushed cobalt vine bearing large leaves. Excellent color. Long curving crack from rim, stopping near midsection. Faint curved surface line on underside, with a short 1/2" line extending off from it. H 8".
