Two Early Glazed Redware Jugs, American, first half 19th century, a rotund jug with tooled spout and heavily-ribbed handle, the surface covered in a speckled brownish lead-and-manganese glaze. Paired with a tall, ovoid jig with heavily-ribbed handle, the surface covered in a reddish-brown lead-and-manganese glaze. Smaller jug with base chips, two small chips and several nicks to handle, and a few small spout chips. Taller jug with several handle and base chips, wear to spout, and light glaze wear around midsection. H (of smaller jug) 10".
