Exceptional One-Gallon Stoneware Pitcher with Cobalt Floral Decoration, attributed to the Remmey Pottery, Philadelphia, PA, circa 1865, ovoid pitcher with rounded foot and heavily tooling to collar and rim, decorated with a very large two-stemmed flowering plant covering the front, flanked by leaves at the base. Collar decorated with cobalt swags. Excellent color and bold decoration. Hairlines to base area on reverse, including one hairline extending a short distance onto underside. Minor spout nick.
