Three Glazed Cylindrical Redware Jars, New England origin, second quarter 19th century, all of similar cylindrical form with rounded and tooled shoulder, decorated with manganese daubs over a bright orange or reddish ground. Middle-sized example includes a glazed redware lid with manganese highlights. Tallest with heavy chipping to base; otherwise excellent condition. Middle-sized jar with wear to rim, a 1 1/4" base chip along with a few other minor base chips, and chips to lid. Shortest jar with a few small spots of glaze loss to rim and a 1 3/4" flake off underside at edge, which occurred in the firing and is glazed over. H (of tallest) 8 3/4".
