Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Batter Pail, attributed to the Whites Pottery, Utica or Binghamton, NY, fourth quarter 19th century, ovoid pail with tubular pouring spout, decorated with a slip-trailed flowering vine beside the number "4," for "four quarts". Small chip to tip of spout. Small chips and wear to rim. Red marker inscription on underside. Chip to handle at base on reverse.
