Very Rare Diminutive Redware Loaf Dish with Profuse Slip Decoration, probably Philadelphia, PA, late 18th or early 19th century, drape-molded, octagonal dish with coggled exterior edge and an unusual rounded molding bordering the interior base. Surface decorated with three rows of heavily-applied yellow slip stripes. Excellent size and decoration. A fine example of early Pennsylvania redware. Rim chips. Slip decoration and interior surface survive in excellent condition. L 7 3/4" ; W 6 7/8".
