Rare Salt-Glazed Stoneware Chimney Flue or Filter Insert, Northeastern U.S. origin, possibly MacQuoid, New York City, second half 19th century, cylindrical form with flattened rim, decorated with large flowering plant design accented with spots. The color of the clay and cobalt resemble William A. MacQuoid stoneware from New York City, although the quality of the design on this example is somewhat cruder. 2” chip on reverse side of rim. Shallow chips on interior of rim. H 11”.
