One-Gallon Ovoid Stoneware Jar with Cobalt Drape Decoration, attributed to Clarkson Crolius, Sr. or Jr., Manhattan, NY, circa 1810-1825, ovoid jar with heavily-tooled shoulder and flared rim, decorated with a scalloped cobalt drape design along accented with spots. Unusually scroddled gray, brown, and white clay. 4" hairline from rim. 1 1/2" rim chip. Other smaller rim chips. A few minor base chips. 1 1/4", 1" , and 7/8". H 9 3/8".
