Rare Glazed Redware Presentation Jar Dated 1826, possibly New Jersey, ovoid jar with open strap handles, rounded foot, and tall collar, featuring the lightly-incised inscription around the midsection, "Mary W. Boozer (?) . .[Month] 27 1826". Surface covered in a dark lead and manganese glaze. Although the origin of this jar is unknown, a Boozer Pottery was located on Sourland Mountain in Hunterdon County, NJ during the 19th century. 1 1/4" base chip. Glaze wear and a small chip to rim. Chips and wear to outer edge of each handle. Some small flakes to glaze. H 7 3/4".
