Stoneware Sleepy Eye Mug, Monmouth, IL origin, late 19th century, cobalt-decorated mug with bust of Chief Sleepy Eye in relief on one side, the other side featuring an American Indian cooking at a fire by teepees. Handle with thumbrest in the form of Chief Sleepy Eye. Impressed "S" on underside. Excellent condition. H 7 1/2".
