Six-Gallon Double-Handled Stoneware Churn, Southern U.S. origin, late 19th or early 20th century, semi-ovoid form with flared rim, two strap handles and one lug handle, incised with the number "6" under one handle. Surface covered in a streaky brown Albany slip glaze. Crack extending partway around base. Smoothed chips to lug handle. Wear to one strap handle. Typical w+ear to interior base. H 18 1/2".
