One-Gallon Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Pitcher, attributed to the Remmey Pottery, Philadelphia, PA, circa 1860, ovoid pitcher with tooled foot and flared rim, decorated with a boldly-brushed cobalt floral design around the midsection. Collar decorated with cobalt leaves and spout decorated with chainlinks. Excellent color. Professional restoration to handle, spout chip, crack on left side, and small hairline above handle. Y-shaped hairline on underside. Base chip at edge on underside. Two contact marks to right side of front. H 10 1/2".
