Unusual Two-Gallon Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Jar or Churn, Western PA origin, third quarter 19th century, cylindrical jar with tooled shoulder, large lug handles, and tall collar with thick rounded, the front decorated with a brushed cobalt flower with trumpet-shaped blossom. Provenance: From a thirty-five year Western PA collection. Filled hole in underside. Small handle chip. Chip on exterior of rim. Small chips and wear to interior of rim. H 12 3/4".
