Unusual Miniature Stoneware Keg Bank, New York State origin, second quarter 19th century, coin bank in the form of a keg with incised and cobalt-highlighted bands and edge detail. Original incised hole at midsection mimics the opening of a wooden liquor keg. Carved slot on top surface. Incised "2" on top and underside. Recently found in Philadelphia. As-made condition with a salt drip on reverse. H 4 3/4".
