Scarce Glazed Redware Jug, Stamped "I. BELL," John Bell, Waynesboro, PA, circa 1840, finely ovoid jug with tooled spout and applied handle, covered in a reddish-brown lead and manganese glaze. Impressed "I. BELL" on shoulder. This jug is significantly larger than most I. BELL examples we have seen. Wear to glaze on surface, spout, and handle. Base chips. Horizontal crack at base of handle. H 12".
