Three-Gallon Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Churn, Midwestern origin, circa 1870, cylindrical form with tooled shoulder, semi-rounded rim, and applied lug handles, decorated with a slip-trailed cobalt floral design with daisy-shaped blossoms. Slip-trailed "3" underscored by dots at shoulder. 2 3/4" hairline at base, extending 1 1/2" onto underside. Additional 3 1/2" hairline at base, extending 2" onto underside. H 13".
