Two Spongeware Pitchers, American, late 19th century, tankard-form pitcher with sponged cobalt over a white ground, paired with a spongeware butter crock, marked "BUTTER," with original holes to allow for a metal bail handle. Includes spongeware lid, which fits loosely and may not be original to the crock. Pitcher with 1 1/2" hairline on side of spout, a few small chips on interior of spout, and some staining to surface. Butter crock in mint condition. Lid with small line on edge. H 9" ; Diameter 6".
