Scarce Ovoid Stoneware Jar with Elaborate Manganese Floral Decoration, attributed to Henry Glazier, Huntingdon, PA, circa 1840, ovoid jar with tooled shoulder, squared rim, and ribbed lug handles, decorated with a large flowering vine design in reddish-brown manganese slip on one side. Reverse decorated with a large split-stem leafy vine. Exfoliation to surface. Numerous spidering hairlines throughout surface. Spidering crack around midsection. Heavy chipping to rim. Base chip and a few base nicks. H 15".
