Four-Gallon Stoneware Churn with Cobalt Floral Decoration, Midwestern origin, circa 1870, cylindrical churn with tooled shoulder, semi-squared rim, and applied lug handles, decorated with a stylized cobalt floral design, with cobalt dots accenting the blossom and underscoring the number 4 above it. Includes alkaline-glazed lid (not original to the churn) and a wooden dasher. Churn in excellent condition with small base chip on reverse and light wear to surface. Lid with wear to edge. H (excluding dasher) 16 3/4".
