Rare Glazed Redware Jug with Copper Spot Decoration, probably Northeastern U.S., mid 19th century, small-sized, cylindrical jug with rounded spout and applied handle, decorated with columns of green copper spots applied over a mustard-colored glaze. Fine glaze and decoration. In-the-making, 1 3/4" x 3/8" unglazed area at base on front. Additional unglazed area at base on right side of jug. Roughness to base. Flakes to underside. In-the-firing contact mark on top of spout. 5/8" x 3/8" in-the-firing unglazed spot at base of handle. 3/8" in-the-firing separation at upper handle terminal. H 8 1/8".
