Miniature Lidded Redware Teapot, PA or New England origin, early to mid 19th century, ovoid pot with rounded foot, curving spout, and arching handle, decorated with streaks of manganese under a clear lead glaze. Includes original slightly-domed lid with lead-and-manganese-glazed surface. A fine example of a desirable form. Teapot with two base chips and minor wear to tip of spout. Lid has chip and wear to flange on underside and a few other tiny flecks of glaze loss. H (including lid) 3 1/4" ; Diameter (from handle to spout) 5 1/2".
