Rare Miniature Redware Figure of a Sheep with Coleslaw Wool, probably PA origin, 19th century, molded figure of a reclining sheep on base embellished with an applied coat of clay "coleslaw". Surface covered in a clear lead glaze. Rare figural form. Provenance: Ex-collection Pauline Heilman. A few glazed-over base chips, the largest measuring 1/2". Glazed-over nick to sheep's muzzle. Possible restoration to one ear. H 2 1/2" ; Length 3".
