Two Ovoid Stoneware Jugs, Northeastern U.S. origin, circa 1830-1840, one with tooled shoulder and cobalt highlights to handle terminals, the second with squared rim and reddish-colored clay. Smaller jug with spout chips, handle chip, shallow base chip, and 5" vertical line. Larger jug with some small base chips, spidering crack extending from base on reverse, and significant dryness to surface. H (of smaller jug) 12".
