Two Pieces of Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware, Northeastern U.S. origin, 19th century, a three-gallon crock with slip-trailed cobalt floral motif, stamped "C. HART / SHERBURNE," circa 1875, paired with a four-gallon stoneware churn with cobalt tulip decoration, New York State origin, mid 19th century. Churn includes wooden dasher and wooden lid. Hart crock with light flaking to lower portion of crock, rim chip, 2" crack from rim above one handle, 3 1/2" crack on reverse, and large curving crack from rim, which extends onto front and includes a few small chips out of crack. Base of churn broken and reglued. Churn also has two rim chips, 8 1/2" crack under one handle, and a 10" crack extending from base. H (of Hart crock) 10 3/8".
