Rare Early Stoneware Milkpan with Slip-Trailed Cobalt Decoration, Baltimore, MD origin, possibly Parr & Burland, circa 1818, tapered form with pouring spout, squared rim, and applied tab handles, decorated with a series of slip-trailed flowers on the front and two on the reverse. This milkpan was likely made shortly after the form was first made in Baltimore, sometime between 1815 and 1820. In-the-firing 3 1/2" separation line on interior, only a portion of which is visible on the exterior. Restored area to right of spout including most of one flower. Small handle chip. A few minor base chips and a few minor chips on interior of rim. H 5 1/4" ; Diameter 9 1/2".
