Two Miniature Redware Pitchers, American, 19th century, both of ovoid form with flared rims and ribbed strap handles, one covered in a blackish lead and manganese glaze, the other covered in a lead glaze over a reddish-brown ground. Provenance: William Kelly Young Collection. Black-glazed example with thin crack from rim and professional restoration to rim and spout. Second pitcher with heavy wear to rim, wear to handle and midsection, and two small base chips. H (of black-glazed example) 3 1/2".
