Albany Slip Glazed Stoneware Pitcher with Molded Eagle Decoration, possibly Jersey City, NJ, circa 1850, molded pitcher with spurred handle and raised eagle pattern around the shoulder and midsection, covered in an Albany slip glaze. For an identical example, see Ketchum's American Stoneware, p. 81. Colored rim chips. 1/2" reglued piece at base beside a 5/8" filled and colored chip. Spout broken and reglued. Tip of spout also broken and reglued.1" filled and colored spout chip. 1 1/2" x 1 1/4" chip filled and colored at rim Y-shaped hairline on underside. Rim chips. H (to top of handle) 10 1/4".
