Four-Gallon Stoneware Crock with Elaborate Cobalt Cornucopia Decoration, Midwestern origin, circa 1870, straight-sided crock with tooled shoulder, semi-rounded rim, and applied lug handles, decorated with a slip-trailed design of a cornucopia overflowing with grapes, cherries, and various types of flowers. Slip-trailed 4 with flourishes at base. 8 1/2" hairline crack on reverse, continuing onto underside where it divides. Salt drip near base. Two tiny nicks on interior of rim. H 11 3/4".
